Here’s a list of the boutiques to check out in Montpellier, in case you are after those desginer and curated style secondhand stores (like me usually!). These stores can easily compete with any “firsthand” store.
ALTERNATIVE
ALTERNATIVE is my top favourite of all the secondhand shops in Montpellier. They have a beautifully curated shop floor full of designer and quality secondhand clothes, both for women and men. Don’t be put off by the term “designer,” as when I visited, they also had some items on sale. This means there’s something for everyone at various price points. For example, I found a DKNY 100% silk skirt for 19 euros on sale and a YSL gold leather skirt for 100 euros. Overall, this store checked my maximalist box beautifully, as it is full of colour and fun!
Maison Clothes
Maison Clothes is like the cool older brother you never had. Focused largely on menswear, it is all about edginess. But hey, menswear or unisex, who can tell? You’ll find street style designer pieces at various price points.
CHAMPIN Boutique
CHAMPIN Boutique is a really beautiful and sweet secondhand store. With a girly and cozy look, they carry a well-curated selection of clothes. It is a hand-picked selection of clothes at fair prices for a refined taste.
Elle.... Tout Simplement
This is your go-to spot for designer secondhand, from luxury bags to clothes. It fits a refined, a bit more mature taste.

Best vintage and thrift shops of Montpellier
In case you are after vintage – some Levi’s jeans, classic vintage jackets or sports Tees – secondhand shops in Montpellier have so much to offer!
La Clique Boutique
La Clique Boutique is such a fun store! When I visited, the outside of the shop was empty, so I didn’t really know what to expect. But when you step in, you’ll discover a wonderful world of many fun pieces. Like a Tweety shirt you’ll see on the photo at the top the article! The prices are very reasonable and you’ll find pieces for a smaller budget for sure.
Friperso
If you’re like me and leave a store when you don’t like the music, then Friperso is likely for you! That’s at least my personal experience. When I visited, the music created such a great vibe that I literally wanted to spend more time there (music is noted as one of the key elements in my “branding a secondhand store” article). But music aside, Friperso focuses on menswear, but has a smaller section also for women. I spoted a Burberry trench and a really fabulous denim midi-skirt. This store definitely is a vibe!
RetroFutur
RetroFutur is your hardcore vintage shop in Montpellier. From vintage denim to sports jerseys and bomber jackets, they have it all. It is well curated and easy to navigate, so if that’s your vibe – definitely go check RetroFutur out!
BRAD BOUTIQUE
4/6 Rue du Faubourg du Courreau
A mix of everything – from lower price points for thrift digging lovers to some refined pieces. The store is well curated and is a must visit for anyone who is willing to browse around!
